Mrs. Allen (resource)

Mrs. Allen is in her 25th year in education! She is a graduate of S.U.N.Y. Brockport with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Education and Sociology. She holds a Masters degree in Education and Special Education from Loyola College.  Her career began in the Baltimore City Schools. After six years she transferred to BCPS as a Special Education teacher at Jacksonville Elementary. Mrs. Allen remained at Jacksonville for 19 years as the Self-Contained Special Education.  With the closing of the self contained classrooms in Baltimore County, Mrs. Allen had to find a new place to call home. August of 2014, she was hired as the Inclusion Facilitator at Hampton Elementary.   In her free time, Mrs. Allen enjoys playing with her dog, spending time with family in upstate New York, and taking walks.

Mrs. Colen (speech)

Mrs. Colen has been the speech and language therapist at Hampton for 18 years.  She was born and raised in Providence, RI and attended URI for both her undergraduate and masters degrees.  Before coming to Baltimore, she resided in Western Mass. with her husband and 3 children.  In the course of her career, she has provided speech therapy services to students from preschool age to middle school in RI, MA, and CT. In her free time, Mrs. Colen enjoys singing, gardening, walking, reading, and trying out new recipes.  During school breaks, she travels to different parts of the country to visit her now grown children.

Ms. Henry (Reading Specialist)

Mrs. Henry is in her 18th year with Baltimore County Public Schools. She graduated from UMBC with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and her certification in Elementary Education. Mrs. Henry earned her Master's Degree in Reading Education from Towson University. This is her 7th year as a reading specialist after previously teaching fourth, first, and third grades. In her spare time, Mrs. Henry can be found on the sidelines cheering on her two sons. She also loves traveling with her husband and boys to the Outer Banks and the Caribbean. 

Mrs. Higgins (resource)

My name is Bryanna Higgins and this will be my eleventh year as a special educator at Hampton Elementary. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Frostburg State University in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I received my Master of Education degree from Goucher College in School Improvement Leadership. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my son Cash.

Ms. Singleton (Reading Specialist)

Bridget Singleton has been an educator for 34 years.  She began her career teaching Kindergarten in an Archdiocesan school.  Ms. Singleton has been a member of Baltimore County School System for 27 years. She holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Early Childhood Education and a Masters Degree in Reading/Literacy.  She spent the majority of her career teaching first grade and has been a reading specialist for four years.  Ms. Singleton enjoy singing, playing her guitar, reading, traveling, spending time at the beach, and hanging out with her great nephew, Jackson. She also directs the contemporary music choir at her church.
