Mrs. Cavender (Physical Education)

Mrs. Cavender has been teaching for sixteen years.  She is a graduate of Towson University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Elementary Education and she holds a Masters degree in Leadership in Mathematics from the College of Notre Dame.  Her career began at Hampton Elementary as a fifth grade and then first grade teacher. In 2019 she switched to Physical Education to pass on her love of sports.  In her free time, Mrs. Cavender enjoys watching and playing sports, scrapbooking, spending time with her two daughters Lilly and Reese, and playing with her husky Niko. Mr. Evans (Instrumental Music)


Mr. Evans is in his tenth year of education.  He holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Youngstown State University.  He also holds a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from Johns Hopkins University.  He began teaching in Baltimore City at Paul Laurence Dunbar Middle School.  After four years in the city, he then began teaching at Pot Spring and Hampton Elementary Schools.  In his free time Mr. Evans enjoys spending time with his wife and children Connor and Abigail, practicing his tuba, and completing DIY work around his house.

Mrs. Fletcher (Vocal Music)

Mrs. Fletcher is in her thirteenth year in education! She graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters degree both in Music Education with a vocal concentration.  She began her career at Golden Ring Middle School in Baltimore County.  After two years of teaching general music and chorus, she transferred to Hampton in her dream job of teaching elementary vocal music.  In her free time, Mrs. Fletcher enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, Jonathan and Kendall.  She also loves hiking, biking, traveling, and singing in her church choir.

Mrs. Pawliske (S. T. E. M.)

Mrs. Pawliske is in her 24th year of teaching.  She has spent most of her time in first and second grades, but also taught third grade for a year and served as a Gifted and Talented resource teacher. After many years as Green School Coordinator, she is thrilled to be teaching STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).  She is a graduate of Towson University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and she holds a Master’s degree in Leadership in Teaching from Notre Dame of Maryland University.  Mrs. Pawliske taught in three Baltimore County Public Schools:  Summit Park Elementary, Franklin Elementary, and Hampton.   She is happiest when working on a big project with the students in her classroom or when she is planning Green celebrations.  In her free time, Mrs. Pawliske enjoys spending time with her family.  Together, they love to read, travel, camp, snowboard/ski, crab, and have movie night.

Ms. Schnirel (Library)

Ms. Schnirel has been teaching in Maryland for 17 years. She taught science at Towson High School and Pine Grove Middle School before becoming a librarian in the county in 2015. She is a graduate of Towson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Master’s in Education and a certification in Library Media Science. She began teaching at Hampton Elementary in 2017. In her free time, Ms. Schnirel enjoys hiking, biking, and collecting rocks with her family and dog. Updated 9/4/18

Ms. Towner (Art)

Ms. Towner has been teaching in Baltimore County for 17 years. She is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelors degree in Art Education.  She also has a Master’s degree in Art Education from Towson University.  She began her career as a middle school teacher at Sparrows Point Middle School.   After 12 years at the middle school level, she took a few years off to have children.  When she came back to teaching she had the pleasure of starting a new chapter in her career as an elementary school teacher.  She has been teaching at Hampton Elementary since 2010.  In her free time, Ms. Towner enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, Jacob and Grace.
